Alright. So this evening after work, I was going to head to Suncoast in search of the B5 DVD as a last resort. (They're the most expensive place around, but they often carry stuff that other places don't have.) But on the way, I stopped in at Best Buy, knowing that I'd want to pick up Moulin Rouge without paying Suncoast prices anyway. Just for kicks, I checked the scifi section again. Bingo. Several Babylon 5 discs right there. Maybe they were a week late? Happy bank account depletion card goes swish on 2 counts. (Have I mentioned I'm an addict of all forms of entertainment digital?)
Arriving home. Checked the mail. (The snail kind.) An envelope from netflix had arrived. I could tell by the hardness of it that it contained a disc. Damn, that was quick! Sopranos, season 1, disc 1. 170 minutes of 4 episodes of television greatness. (Or so I've heard.)
Walked into the castle lair, armed with a chipotle burrito (I have groceries in the house, but on the way home, I decided one of their burritos sounded really good, so I stopped for take out. Convenient when it's only a couple blocks away.)
Watched Farscape. Given that their teaser for tomorrow's episode was back to season 1, I think I might deduce that all the season 3 episodes produced so far have been exhausted? Crichton is da man!
Flipped over to UPN to watch Buffy. Somehow, I managed to miss the episode where Buffy's mother died when it first aired. (Could it be that I was actually going out and having a life back back then? Nah.) Wow. That is an episode. Not the kind of thing I'd want to watch every time, but a great one. Intensely, shockingly sad.
Flipped over to FX to catch another Buffy rerun. It was also from season 5. I didn't realize until the end that it directly preceded the earlier episode that had aired on UPN. I would imagine that someone in the exact right timezone with the exact right combination of network feeds could have gotten 3 hours of buffy in exact chronoligical order. (Given that the episode scheduled to air tomorrow on FX will be the funeral, I would imagine that this was somebody's intent.)
This is ridiculous. 6 hours ago, I was feeling really, really tired. As in, falling over in my chair tired. Now I'm all awake and alive. I haven't drank any caffeine at all today. By all logical determinations, I should be even more tired now, since the batteries should be lower. But they're not. Something isn't adding up here.
Perhaps my home environment [hehe] is [hehe] overstimulating. [hehe] Perhaps I have fried my nervous system with too much [hehe] GameCube [hehe] dvd [hehe] music [hehe] madness. Even at this moment, wacked out trancy dance music is flowing from the speakers.
I think it's time for sleep. For my own good. Therefore, I will refrain from further indulgence in content consumption this evening. Hit the sedatives, and power down all systems. I need to rest up. Tomorrow is be a hard day of work ahead. [smirk]
