This rambling is not a Nintendo commercial

Since it's been a few days since I posted any content (which for me is a long time), I think now would be a good time to post a rambling. What shall I ramble about?
See, it's been so long since I wrote anything, I'm already forgetting how to mindlessly spin the daily churning of words. I'm out of practice, so I have to actually think about it. Oh, the horror.
What has been sucking up virtually all of Bitscape's spare time lately, so much so that he hasn't even been posting consistent daily ramblings? I'll make it a pop quiz. 5 seconds to answer.

100 monkey points go to anyone who guessed GameCube. Not only did I whip the Death Star earlier this week on Star Wars, but last night, I also got the rebel convoy successfully to Hoth (which seemed to be more a matter of luck than true skill, since my wingmates took out a lot of enemy fighters while I fumbled around).
Monkeyball is as addictive as ever, in both the main game and the side attractions. But you knew that. It doesn't end there though.
On Thursday, several of us from work journied to The Temptation Zone[tm] during lunch (uh oh), where Bitscape was lured by the sight of Super Smash Bros Melee, released just days earlier. Grabbed a copy, and let the all-too-happy bank account deletion card do the rest of the work.
The closest thing I could compare it to would be something along the lines of the Street Fighter / Mortal Kombat genre. Except it's more. You fight with the memorable cast of Nintendo characters, from Mario, to Link, to Captial Falcon, Samus, Princess Zelda, Peach, Yoshi, Pikachu, and a bunch of others. Each have their own weapons and special moves appropriate to their character (Mario has fireballs, Link shoots a bow and arrow, Samus can roll up in a ball and lays bombs, etc). Basically you go into the arena, and try to knock everyone else out of the game.
Oh, and there's also a side scrolling adventure in 1 player mode, featuring a strange amalgamation of the worlds of all the different game characters. Seeing Samus stomp on goombas... too kooky.
I'd say that Super Smash has the biggest learning curve of any of my games. Each character has different moves, and different styles, so learning to play them all well could take a long time. (I think it would be best to choose 1 to specialize on, but I have yet to choose such a favorite.) Just learning the basic controls is a task. Last night, I finally sat down and RTFM, so I have some vague idea, but as far really learning them instinctively goes, I'm not there yet.
Anyway... moving on.
50 monkey points to anyone who guessed Farscape. I find myself now simultaniously watching seasons 2 and 3. I got addicted to Season 3 when Zan Lynx came over to hang out on Monday night, and wanted to watch, and ever since then, I've found myself tuning in. Meanwhile, I've also been watching season 2 episodes on Argo. Makes for strange storyline following, but so be it.
20 monkey points for anyone who guessed Buffy. Yeah, I've been watching some of the reruns. UPN reran an early season 6 episode on Tuesday, which was actually good, since I hadn't seen it the first time. But dammit, I want to know what happens to Willow, and how the Buffy/Spike thing goes! New episodes, please.
I've watched some of the FX reruns, although I'm not following them as religious as ever, since I've already seen most of season 4. A little refresher doesn't hurt though.
Today, me, mom, dad, and bouncing toured one anothers apartments again. Yes, I finally got to see dad's European apartment! According to bouncing, it's not quite as European as it was when he first moved in, since the lamp actually has a shade now, and it's on a stand instead of being in the middle of the floor. Still, very European. Except for the bedroom. That's Japanese. lol.
I also decided upon a title for bouncing's place. Since he seems to be a latte nut, and he just got a couch this week which features cup holders, he has not 1, but 2 coffee machines (technically, the second is an espresso machine; big deal), and he listens to cds purchased from artists performing at StarBucks, I have dubbed bouncing's residence "The Coffeehouse Apartment". It may henceforth be referred to as such.
Alright. I'm late already. Going to catch a film. Will log it later tonight probably, or tomorrow at the latest. Probably not what everyone thinks, but it could be. So with that little thought, I'm outta here!
