"I think I need some boxes or something."
--Bitscape, 20 Oct 2001

This, the Lair, soon to become the Lair of Times Past, is almost beginning to look like something might be taking place. Or getting ready to take place.

Something I have been pondering, but haven't quite reached a full conclusion yet: What to do about net access in the short term? In the long term (as in weeks), I, of course, have my options. AT&T digital cable, or DSL provisioning and installation fun. But what about next week? This weekend? Being able to plug Argo into something the instant I cross over the threshold of the door?

A modem. Argo does not have a modem. I suppose one could be obtained easily enough, but there's something inside me that thinks it would be stupid and wasteful to acquire such a device when it would likely fall into disuse within a few weeks.

Illian has a modem. I think that's the key. Use Illian as a temporary dialup device while I twiddle my thumbs and figure out what I'm going to do. That, of course, would also require signing up for an ISP. That would certainly be easier to do while I'm still connected here. Hmmmm.... Something to think about before I unplug Argo and start carrying peripherals away.

Well, I've got piles of stuff to organize, random worthless artifacts to dispose of, and plans to make. This Random Rambling was brought to by a blip in time of Bitscape's morning.
