The Wallpaper Fest

Oh yes. I now ramble in the tradition of the half asleep, just after sunrise, late-in-fest, semi-lucid dreariness that has become the essence of modern festing. I note that Jaeger still has his wallpaper set. As do I, with this rambling window now the sole occupant of my visible desktop, strategically positioned in a semi-transparent Eterm directly on top of....
Yes, this has probably been one of the silliest fests in history. It got a late start, with myself arriving as the first guest of the Boulder Compound shortly before 0100. bouncing came behind seconds later. Zan Lynx had planned to attend, but due to the unexpected delay, he bailed before it began.
There was also a new participant in this fest: Jaeger's younger brother Willy, who stayed with us typing on Aquarius until the wee hours. (Jaeger noted that Willy is now approximately the same age as he was when he first began attending fests. He doesn't seem that old though. (And $DEITY help his poor little mind, corrupted by the likes of us crazies. He didn't seem too phased though. lol.)) Bad confusing pronoun use. Bad Bitscape. Very bad.
We'll leave that cryptic as it wanna be.
Yes, this truly ranks among the more idiotic, and simultaniously less productive fests. And the more depraved we become... Could the Candlelight Prophesy be coming true at last? Not quite yet, my friends. Not quite there yet.
[Burp.]
Well, let's see. What was accomplished during this fest? Um... We saw some Yanni. We got our fortifications. bouncing played with Delphi-not-called-Delphi on Linux. Jaeger fed his instant messenger addiction, and supposably did some work on rather odd and dubious projects. Bitscape copied a bunch of Jaeger's Farscape episodes, which required him to clear some of the bulkier cobwebs out of Argo's directory tree. Oh, and also transitioned Argo's Lounge database onto a semi-more-working setup of postgres 7.1. (which, on this side, is what this rambling will immediately be inserted into upon completion.)
Midway through (I guess sometime around between 0400 and 0500), things degerated to an extremely silly level of semi-drunken idiocy. (But I swear, no alcohol was involved. Really! Although maybe it should have been.) bouncing, lacking a working network card for Lisa, was unable to participate, but I don't think he felt terribly distraught over it. (And as for you Argo, you are one slutty little beast. I never knew you had it in you. Now from Ziyal, I would have expected such behavior. But you? Tsk tsk tsk.)
[Bitscape manages to prevent himself from lol again at what is really not that funny. Since Jaeger has just begun regenerating a few meters away, more gratuitous laughter would not be conducive.]
The borrowed signs from the Free Dmitry protest adorn the festing grounds. In fact, there's one leaning against the wall right in front of me. Wallpaper fest it is. Hah.
Alright. Right now, I am just at that point right between sleep and utter distraction. Or the converse. Or something. And this... thing between my letters between those things isn't helping at all in that department.
I think I too shall now regenerate. Technology is a strange and curious creature.
