A week's worth of non-content for the non-masses

Ok, now I feel really silly. My DSL line is finally back up. It could've been up for the past several hours, but I didn't even bother to notice until after 2200. I pretty much figured it was a lost cause for the weekend. I had been trying pings from work for most of the day with no success. After the last one at 1900 just before I left, I figured it would be until at least Monday for sure.
For the evening entertainment, I dropped by Blockbuster, saw some movies that looked interesting, but nothing I was particularly in the mood for. I was going to just go home, but then for some reason, it hit me: I remembered that there was a DVD copy of Natural Born Killers down the street at Showtime. It sounded like just the thing for this particular evening. (Blockbuster, in all its self-rightous piousness, doesn't believe its adult customers are mature enough to handle NC-17 rated content, or the equivilent thereof.)
Luck was with me. The movie was in stock. I took a swing by the Taco Bell drivethru, and headed home with a nice stock of food and entertainment for the evening. Tip regarding Natural Born Killers: This movie is best viewed with the sound turned up LOUD. My PC speakers connected to the DVD player, I cranked 'em for all they were worth. For those speakers, that isn't really saying a whole lot, but it is something. Beats tv speaker sound, anyway. (I really ought to acquire some new stereo equipment one of these days. Hmmm.)
After the movie was over, I stood up, looked in the direction of my closet, and saw a sight that was almost too pleasing to believe. There were FOUR lights! (Scene with Captian Picard and Cardassian interrogator comes to mind.) Four lights, I tell you! And how sweet it was.
Well, now I think I might get to a little content vulturing myself, after I upload the past week's worth of non-content. Voyager premiere tomorrow night, eh? I totally spaced that. Been gettin all psyched for the Xena premiere all week long though. Hmmmm. Might have to examine the local schedule to see what's going on with the UPN deal around here.
And as an update to the rambling earlier this week that noboby has yet even had a chance to read: I gave an indefinite answer about whether I'll be going into work tomorrow. I may, I may not. Right now, I'm thinking I'll probably wander in and help out a bit, AFTER I've slept a good long while. That's still not a guarantee. We'll just have to see what my mood is like and/or what the rest of the members of the household are doing. I have no intention of going into the office if it would result in me bitching about it on this web page or elsewhere. ;)
Alrighty then. Enough of the babble. I will now upload all the junk, and prepare to put this newly re-opened pipe to some use. Hahaha!
