Alright, I now declare that this chair is officially too comfortable. It's going to be a chore convincing myself to get out of it in a few minutes. Mmmmmm. My whole body says yum.

Cloudy, overcast, dreary day. Monday. Just the perfect time for a mishap to happen with Tobias, as it did this morning. I stepped inside, inserted the key, and turned the ignition. Nothing. My sleepy brain was barely able to comprehend. "Uhhh. This isn't supposed to be what happens."

Then, I checked the lights. DOH! Raining yesterday when I had gone to pick up my chair. Of course! Bad Bitscape. Bad.

Luckily, my dad was still around, so I got a jump from him, and was off to the office. Whew! That could've been a lot worse if everyone else had been gone already. As it was, I had to set my clock again, and fix all my radio presets. Cloudy, overcast, dreary Monday.

On the way home from work, I was witness to a most amusing event. Listening to KTCL, and suddenly, the sound cut. Right in the middle of a song. I figured their transmitter might have gone down. (Running Windows, perhaps?) But no. Moments later, the voice of the DJ (don't know his name, since I don't keep track of the rovolving door DJ's at all those other stations) and all the announcement standard background music came on. He started talking about a concert event or something. Then he stopped, the music stopped, and he muttered a bit.

More muttering, some in the background. Then, the same announcement again, but this time, he stopped abruptly in the middle and yelled "Aw fuck!" More muttering.

Some other repetitious announcement rehearsals / recordings. More muttering. Blew through his lips. Long intervals of silence in between. Then, and this is the most funny part: Uncle Nasty, who is the resident DJ on KBPI, a hop skip and jump up the dial, entered the scene. I could hear the KTCL DJ greeting him in the distance.

Then Nasty, sounding rather pissed: "Every F-bomb you just said went over the fuckin air. Hey, turn the mike off!" And then silence. rotfl. Precious moments to remember.

(And yes, I was aware that both stations are both owned by the same parent company. But hearing them both on the same room talking together really drives it home. Given that Nasty is on-air the same shift, they're probably right next to each other. The same building; the same office. The center of the city's information control.)

Alrighty. And a quickie this was. I'm off to class!
