Ok, I know I already referenced it in the links section, but this bears brining attention to here as well. Having just finished Chapter 4 of The Story, I am somewhat in awe. This is brilliant stuff!

It has the profundity of The Matrix (and I'm not sure whether wording used in the story is supposed to be a reference to the movie, but that's what it brought to my mind), the heartwarming qualities of The Sound of Music (I'm sorry, but it does!), and the funky kick of reading a nice big narrative online. I haven't felt that since last summer's Xena fanfic binge. (Most people I know say they prefer the aesthetics of reading dead tree format to the hard glare of the CRT. I have found the opposite to be true for me. I must just be wierd. Or a geek who has simply become way too comfortable around the computer.)

Well, now I'm faced with the decision between satiating my need for sleep, and getting into some more of this fascinating tale. It just works on so many levels. Given that I've hit a relatively good stopping point, I think I'll attempt the former, and save the rest of the fun for later. Kudos.
